Review:

This was a really interesting take on the vampire romance story. It’s short, so I read it quickly, but the characters are fully fleshed out.

It’s a rather sweet romance even with the pointy bits, and you can really feel like you’re walking around in Jenny’s skin.

I can’t say the sex got me hot, but I’m notoriously hard to please in that regard, so it’s not a mark against the story, because with or without it, the romance carries the tale beautifully and made me give out a happy sigh at the end.

I quite enjoyed it and will look for more from the author.

Scores:

Readability: 5/5 The author has voice and an interesting way of structuring stories which I haven’t seen before. It felt like Jenny and I were sitting down to have a chat and I loved that.

Arcs: 5/5 It’s a short story, but the romantic arc was present and accounted for. I’d be curious to see more of Jenny in the future, but if I never get any, I’m happy with the story as it stands.

Craft: A few editorial issues, but I’ve seen more in NYT bestselling books.

Would I buy it for a friend? Yup.
