As I can no longer trust a publisher with my work, I’ll be self-publishing my fiction going forward.
I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help offset the costs if you can afford a little to help. I’ve set it at $2000.00, but that will be just about enough to properly do one book, so it will be sort of a rolling donation request, if that makes sense. I currently have 12 titles I need to get edited and re-released. I will donate excess funds not needed for each book to marginalized creators to help with their projects.
I’ll be hiring marginalized creators for editing, promotional art, and cover art when at all possible. While, yes, I’m an editor by trade as well as an author, it’s nigh impossible to perfectly edit your own work. We start seeing things that *should* be there instead of what *is* there. I want to continue to put out a top-quality product for my readers.
Here’s the GoFundMe link:
You can also become a Patron to support both my writing and my autistic advocacy. Unfortunately, all of my daily advocacy information will now be behind a paywall. I never wanted to do things that way, but it is what it is.

Thank you so much for any help you feel you can offer. I’m a good writer, but the one thing I’m not is well-off.
I’m disabled, my family lives in poverty, and while, like most of Canada, we’re currently getting the CERB (we’ve had COVID and neither adult can work easily or well, so the CERB goes directly to living expenses) I receive no disability assistance from the government.
ANY help is greatly appreciated. Small creators like me don’t have a lot of wherewithal or places to turn to for help with costs like these.
